THE LOCATION
Welcome to the Hotel Schatzalp Davos - one of Switzerland's most spectacularly situated hotels. The hotel is located 300 meters above Davos, on a sunny terrace just below the tree line. The hotel, built in art-nouveau style, is reached by a four-minute ride on the private hotel funicular which departs from the centre of Davos Platz. The Alpinum Schatzalp surrounding the hotel, is a beautiful botanical garden with 3'500 different species of alpine plants. The Hotel Schatzalp is known throughout the world as the setting of the novel "The Magic Mountain" written by Thomas Mann.
Free Wi-Fi access is available in the south-facing rooms and the hotel lobby. All south-facing rooms have a loggia (large balcony for sunbathing). The superior south-facing twin rooms are very spacious.
